The Project

New Epping will transform an area that has remained undeveloped for decades into a sustainable mixed-use precinct providing health, commercial and residential opportunities. Located approximately 18km north of Melbourne’s CBD on a former quarry site, New Epping was purchased by our client, Riverlee in partnership with publicly listed Malaysian company, Batu Kawan Berhad (BKB) in 2015. The site has remained vacant for the past 17 years but will be reactivated to bring true value to Melbourne’s northern suburbs as one of the last remaining links in the Epping Central Activity Centre.  

Our involvement

The New Epping project is inherently challenging given its former land uses, firstly as a basalt quarry and then a landfill site (accepting both putrescible and inert waste). Since Riverlee first purchased the site, Verve Projects have been involved with all facets of the project which has required innovative design and implementation solutions.
